Children are nurtured within their age group and ability with activities tailored to ensure everyone can take part in their own way. We all love getting messy so we will have some creative activities as well as active games planned to make sure we stretch our legs throughout the day.
This year in Warwickshire and West Midlands, Half Term runs 30th October – 3rd November 2023

Potions and Hocus Pocus STEAM activities
Hands up who loves slime! Well, we know it’s the kind of activity that can fill parent’s minds with horror, thinking of all the preparation and cleaning up, not to mention getting the actual slime recipe right. We love experimenting with textures and colours, and of course it’s all non-toxic. Let us take the load for you, by letting your child experience all the joys of slime, gloop and goo, without any of the admin. We’ll also build sculptures and put our imaginations to the test of course!
Fencing as a sport is increasingly popular with children and offers a unique opportunity to build confidence and self-belief. Children step up and control their own movements, and we see some amazing developments during the activity as their skills improve. Trying new things is a wonderful way to broaden children’s horizons, and fencing is a sport that can support physical health, and boost your child’s mood.
Wicked Arts and Crafts
Coming up with fabulous new makes for our creative activities is one of our specialities. We’re thinking tissue-paper ghosts, witches hats, and spindly spiders. Of course we may surprise you with something unusual on the day, so make sure your little ones come ready for anything and with a head full of ideas! We’ll plan our makes, discuss how it will work, and have something wonderfully inventive to bring home at the end of the day.
Devilish Dance and Musical Theatre
This October half term our dance workshops will be themed around halloween, so will be moving our bodies in fun new ways! There may be twisting and turning like gnarled old trees, walking like ancient mummies, tiptoeing past the sleeping dragon, or casting spells like Harry Potter! Depending on the group we’ll come up with something that everyone loves. We usually have a performance at the end of the day, that pulls everyone’s talents together in celebration.
We’ll be running some sporting activities this half term to make your spine tingle! Not literally 😉 We’re always excited to offer active play sessions, and incorporate themes into our games just like the rest of the camp.
Other games and activities over the week may include:
- Escape the spiderweb
- Floor is Lava
- Sleeping Dragons
- Talent show
Please make sure your children arrive with a healthy lunch (no nuts please, we’re a nut free club!) and clothes and shoes they can run around in. Warm clothes and a raincoat may also be useful, as we still like to get outside during the day.
