GO GO Xtra!

Holiday clubs for 7-12 year olds

“My favourite thing is Art, because…”

Welcome to

GO GO XTRA!!

Introducing GO GO XTRA, the holiday club for 7-12 year olds with a difference; we go that EXTRA mile to offer challenging activities that will broaden our youngsters’ minds. Children who have experienced our classic camps will get to try a more choice-led approach, where they can decide how they spend their day, from fast-paced sports to technical skills-labs and code sessions.

Children will build new friendships and work in teams with sports like Basketball and Football, and shine independently through Tennis. They can also step up to a team captain role to build leadership skills and help their peers work together.

GO GO XTRA offers the next generation of holiday club for 7 year olds right through to 12 year olds to help them develop into healthy teenagers. So how does this all work? Find out more below.

ACTIVITIES CAN VARY EACH DAY

Code academy

Kids at GO GO XTRA! will be code-ninjas for the day, and experience the beauty of the creating a piece of code that works!

Coding develops systematic thinking to build on essential digital literacy skills. There are many benefits of coding for children, such as developing logical thinking, and complex problem solving. Coding is now part of the national curriculum and extends to many professions that involve engineering, sustainability and gaming.

Sessions are delivered by coding professionals – we’re here to help ignite the fire, and help every child learn through creativity and innovation in our code academy sessions.

Parkour

Parkour is a sport which involves navigating urban environments in new ways. It can involve running, jumping and vaulting across gaps in order to create your own path, and often makes use of stairs, rails and walls.

This challenging sport offers a unique opportunity for young people to test their limits and go beyond what traditional sports can offer.

Sport

There’s football… and there’s football on our fantastic 4G Astro Pitch!! The reliability of an astro surface means we can push our football skills to the limit, no matter what the weather! Children are welcome to bring astroturf football boots to change into if they wish.

Children will also tackle our obstacle courses for a thrilling test of speed and balance. They can grab a racket for some lively tennis or badminton. There is the option to team up for a friendly game of basketball too. There’s so much to pick from!

Dance

Our GO GO XTRA!! dance workshops will be themed around popular styles to get our youngsters moving. The health benefits of dance go beyond the usual – it involves balance and agility, concentration and physical strength. These contribute towards reduced stress levels and improved wellbeing, which is vitally important during these formative years.

We’ll incorporate cheerleading, hip hop and freestyle dance as well as street dance to make it relevant and fun. Dance enables self-expression and can really bring children together as they learn together and develop their own style.

STEM Sessions

Sometimes kids need something completely immersive.

Our STEM activities offer science, technology, engineering and maths related challenges to engage those brains! They will use problem solving to solve puzzles and work together to conduct experiments.

These activities offer a fantastic way for young people to engage in critical thinking and challenge their problem solving skills. They will get such a buzz when they reach the solution!

Pick n mix

Activities

As children grow, they naturally want more control over what they do! With this in mind, children get to Pick and Mix activities at GO GO XTRA! to encourage strong decision-making skills and help them build independence.
At times we may have to go with the majority, but we’ll find a way to satisfy those individual requests when possible.

It’s important to us that children at GO GO Makers feel heard, valued, and respected, and this flexible format allows us to cater for the changing needs of our groups.

WHY CHOOSE A HOLIDAY CLUB FOR

pre-teens?

Our holiday camps for pre-teens are about keeping young people safe, and widening their horizons. We’re here to offer a healthy balanced experience that enables young people aged 7 to 12 years the space to learn and grow, as well as the support to develop into amazing people. Our GO GO XTRA! Club will make sure they use their time wisely, so that they get the most out of their time with us and learn to make great choices in life.

We strongly believe that holiday camps offer an important opportunity to help your child build confidence and develop into young adults with broader mindsets. Anything is possible if you just believe! Our staff offer enough space for children to be children for as long as they can, whilst building valuable life-skills.
